Success

“Thinking of you,” read the post on my Facebook wall that was attached to the picture above. A dear friend, being witness to all of my posts about what has been happening in my life as of late, thought of me when she had read a post about “success” and she chose to share it with me.

I opened the post, to read the message with it. It had been posted by How to Raise Your Vibration, which is a page I follow. However, I had missed this particular post so it was new to me. I began reading…

The Law of Success

When you get your energy flowing right you gain success, as success is followed by success. This energy flow becomes successive…

Then, my attention began to be diverted. Something was happening on my pandora.com station that hadn’t ever happened before. I recognized the opening notes to a familiar song and the dawning awareness rose like the morning sun… They were playing my theme song! In all the years I had streamed their music, they had never played this song. This song, Circle of Stones by Tina Malia, has been “my” song since 2004, but I have never heard it on any radio. Ever.

I smiled and went back to reading, attempting to focus on what it said.

…When you are experiencing success, you get into a space, a zone, that allows the energy to flow effortlessly without resistance.

My body was covered with chivels. And, although the words were very powerful, I knew it wasn’t the words. Something was happening. I closed my eyes and bowed my head and let the music wash over me through my earbuds, vibrating every single cell in my body. I cranked it up just as the violin joined the acoustic guitar, the ancient and familiar tug on my heart coursed through me and the tears formed. And then… the drums began and I soared off the earth to Rise…

And then… the lyrics poured through me…

REJOICE!
This night
Come dance in the fire
Come alive

…and I saw the images I had seen that day, way back in 2004, when I was wondering what to name my business. I saw the gypsies – my ancient heritage – gathered around the fire. I saw the purple fire of magic in the air. I saw the clear sky with millions of stars and the blackness of the forest around us. I smelled the moist earth and the scent of meat cooking over the open fire. I felt the coolness of the air against my skin and heard the laughter, the music, the jingling coins, the crackling fire. And then, from the fire, I saw Her rise. I saw The Phoenix. My Phoenix. ME.

We’ll wear feathered arms
And we will rise like a Phoenix from the dawn
Like a Phoenix, we will RISE!

I let myself be swept away into the vision. I hadn’t ever allowed that before. The first time this Knowing opened to me, the first time The Phoenix came to me, it had been while I was driving. This time, though, in the dark quiet of the morning, I surrendered to the joy, the tears, the movement, and the Love as I danced with my people around the fire, The Phoenix with me.

The pulse
Of love
Heartbreaking
Heart ever-making
Our sacred love
Hear the beating drum
Let it carry us back to the place where we are one
Breath into Breath
Hand into Hand
This Circle of Stones is where we stand
Heart into Heart
Each Soul into Soul
Back to dust is where we fall
The serpent lies
As we breathe under water
His eyes become our eyes
We’ll wear feathered arms
And we will RISE!
Breath into Breath
Hand into Hand
This Circle of Stones is where we stand
Heart into Heart
Each Soul into Soul
Back to dust is where we fall
Breath into Breath
Hand into Hand
This Circle of Stones is where we stand
Heart into Heart
Each Soul into Soul
Back to dust is where we fall

Opening my eyes, my face wet with tears, my heart full of Love and racing from the dance and the flight, my soul full of Joy, my body warm and cool all at once and I realized I was sitting in the living room. The sensations of the forest, my Loved Ones, the fire and The Phoenix all slowly faded away and I felt all at once satisfied and overflowing with love, while feeling an intense longing for that lifeline. The memories swirled around me and I remembered why I am here now, why I am The Phoenix, and why I love this life so much.

The words of the post floated before me in a blurry river of emotion. Wiping my eyes, I started over, having no idea what I had been reading a lifetime before…

The Law of Success

When you get your energy flow right you gain success, as success is followed by success. This energy flow becomes successive. When you are experiencing success, you get into a space, a zone, that allows the energy to flow effortlessly without resistance.

This success comes when you believe in yourself, acting in the highest good for everyone, not only yourself, and you are doing the best you can as you stand in your integrity. When your vision is resonated by the vibrations of your thoughts and actions then success will flow.

Success is non definitive. To some people it is to win the highest award achievable in your environment. To others it is to get out of bed successfully as depression tries to pull you back to bed. The meaning of success is unique to each person. It can be measured by the feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment you have depending on your expectation levels. True success comes when you empower yourself, and others, achieving the goals you set for yourself, as you stand in your integrity during the entire process.

What I’ve come to understand is that this journey is never a solitary one, even though I may think it is at times. When I choose to RISE, it raises others around me, if they so choose to surrender to the uplift of my rise. When I choose to continually transform myself, going into the flames to return anew, I create a pathway through the fire for others to follow if they so desire and I provide a Sanctuary inside the blaze where they can reach out to be guided through to their renewed selves.

I embraced The Phoenix back in 2004, long before I had any idea what her presence would mean to me, what she would call on me to do, and how, by doing so, I was choosing to help others RISE. I am honored to understand that now and I embrace her fiery energy, allowing it to course through me. And that is my definition of success… allowing what is my divine nature to truly shine.

May you find your fire, my friend, and may you rise. And, if you get lost along the way, reach out, The Phoenix will find you.

I love this Angie. Successive! I never thought about it that way. Defining success is the key. I use to get lost in the money part of it, a title and a bigger paycheck at the office. Yet I never could understand why I couldn’t surpass the emptiness. Because I hadn’t defined success I wasn’t experiencing success, I was living by the culture’s definition of success.

Once defined success starts to flow.
