While working today, I was perusing Pinterest as I waited for a video to finish converting so I could upload it. I came across this graphic that is sheer brilliance on so many levels. I decided to embed it here on my website, because I want to save it for forever!

  1. More than a few reasons why color is my greatest passion….I did a color class over a year ago & it was intense…there is so much information about color. It is sad to me how scared people are of it. Knowing how to use it so that it works & looks good is very hard for some people. I hoped to teach a few of my tricks so that people could be more confident using it in their environments. I use a lot of color symbolism in my design work as well to represent missing elements they need to add balance to their life…it is so much fun if the client is open to it.

    • Azure, I’m wondering… when are our colorful life paths going to cross in real life? :)

In school, learning to work in black, white, and grayscale to perfect a design prior to adding color has been so beneficial to me. Often times, I’ve found that I have fallen love with my design in B&W and don’t want to add color to “distract” from the design. However, when I have relented and have done my color studies to find the one that fits what I’m wanting to convey, I have loved the process. Color psychology is important to me as a healer too because it speaks a lot to where a person is – the “color” of their energy speaks volumes to where their energy is most active…

I love the idea you have of creating designs with colors representing the missing elements to balance their life.
