Each day I wake up, I discover that, yet again, there is something new and amazing going on inside me, as well as outside that window. Today, when I opened the curtain, I was greeted with a blindingly blue sky and brilliant white ball of fire. I was actually stunned to see the weather change after all the darkness, snow, rain, hail and various other atmospheric surprises that have rolled across my valley. I am appreciating Mother Nature for being a reflection to me for where I am currently in my life.

Today, I am grateful for… * the opportunity to house sit at my brother’s house for a couple weeks while he takes his little family to California * registering for the rest of my classes for summer term and being led to take “Event and Meeting Planning” courses… curious about where THAT is going to lead me! * being led to take ASL last semester and having my world turned inside out because of the experience of learning sign * the feel of my freshly-washed hair laying cold and silky against my neck * the lyrics to The Dance (pasted below in case you’re not aware of it) * Knowing that everything is changing in my life and it is exactly perfect * letting go of things/people/stuff/beliefs that I never could have previously imagined that it was possible to let go * stretching… physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally * knowing that… IT IS TIME.

I am so happy to BE fully alive!

The Dance – Garth Brooks

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you’d ever say goodbye
And now I’m glad I didn’t know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I’d have had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn’t I the king
But if I’d only known how the king would fall
Hey who’s to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I’m glad I didn’t know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I’d of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I’d of had to miss the dance
