For a long time, I ran a story that I “wasn’t” an artist. While I loved to doodle, I thought I “couldn’t” create art. Once I embarked on my journey of healing back in 1998, my artistic abilities started expanding and I found the joy in creating art for the mere sake of creating art.
Over that time, one of my favorite introductions to art was through Art Therapy. That was where I got exposed to the process of creating art for the sake of the love of art. I went through many such workshops and training in the process of supporting others in therapeutic art.
Additionally, I attended Salt Lake Community College and graduated with an associates in Graphic Design with some classes in Illustration techniques. It was there that I developed the foundation of great design principals and came to understand the “logic” of creating art as a living, in addition to the loving of it.
